Newcastle Have Some Good Creative Players Again

Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 · 84 Comments

From what we saw last week against Manchester City, Remy Cabella can quickly become a star on Tyneside, but some of our other players also showed some creativity, and substitutes Ayoze Perez and 18 year-old Rolando looked good when they were brought on in the second half and they helped to give the Manchester City defense some uncomfortable moments.

Alan Pardew Talks About What Success Looks Like

Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 · 10 Comments

Alan Pardew has rightly said today that this is a big week for the club, and we play Aston Villa in about four hours time, are at Gillingham in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night, and then play Crystal Palace next Saturday at home, so three wins in those games will see Newcastle fans (absolutely) flying, but three defeats will see things not looking so good next Saturday night.

There’s Optimism Now At Newcastle United

Friday, August 22nd, 2014 · 46 Comments

If Newcastle can get a win at Villa Park tomorrow, then most Newcastle fans will think we’ve made a decent start in the first two games  of the season with 3 points, and there’s the  possibility of getting another win at home to Crystal Palace next Saturday.

Pardew Praise For The Comeback Kid

Friday, August 22nd, 2014 · 2 Comments

It’s always good to see a Newcastle player whose Newcastle career seemed over a year ago – come roaring back – and that’s exactly what has happened to our Algerian U23 International Mehdi Abeid, who Newcastle  signed as a free agent from Lens three years ago.

Pardew Gives Injury Update – Tiote Almost Ready

Friday, August 22nd, 2014 · 34 Comments

Ryan Taylor is training at the moment and its non competitive according to Pardew, and that probably means it’s non contact right now, but Ryan is expected to resume full training in about three weeks time – and Newcastle are right to be very careful with Ryan’s comeback –  after what happened a year last April, when he was coming back from his first ACL knee injury and the knee went for a second time. :(

Magpies Only After Players Good Enough To Wear The Shirt

Friday, August 22nd, 2014 · 13 Comments

Southampton paid out an amazing £12M for Hull City striker Shane Long recently, and the striker is simply not worth that amount of money, and Shane has said himself he was surprised at how high the transfer fee was - we were pleased it wasn’t Newcastle overpaying for the Irish International.
